We love Montessori School of Agoura ! My daughter attended this school for 3 years from 2.5-5 and it was such a great experience. We loved all the school activities and special things the kids got to do through out the year! She learned sign language, reading doing phonics, some Spanish, confidence in performing and made great friends! It definitely got her more than ready for kindergarten. In fact she tells me her public school kindergarten is too easy! They have a nice shaded playground, a fantastic environment with chickens running freely and a garden. I always felt great knowing my daughter was in such loving hands!
Montessori School of Agoura was FABULOUS. Karen and the staff were very nurturing, caring, and extremely dedicated towards the welfare of the children. Our son improved by leaps and bounds at Montessori a School of Agoura and I would highly recommend the school.
I don’t even know where to start of how good is this school. My son had flourished to unknown believe with this amazing place. Karen (director) and the teachers are the most caring and nurturing individuals I have ever met. They care for the kids like their own and the daily activities are amazing. The Director communicates with every parent in her stellar emails and she is a leader and a visionary of a caliber that no other school in the area has. I can go on a whole day but I simply love leaving my son every morning with this amazing crew. Highly recommend!

We came to Montessori of Agoura after my son was having issues with a new teacher at his prior preschool. I was initially nervous about having him start a Montessori school, mistakenly thinking it would be too quiet for him. He has had a great experience at Montessori of Agoura! The teachers are all very experienced and have been with the school for some time. The outdoor space is fun and well shaded. The kids are engaged and my son never wants to leave at pickup. They do adorable music programs for the parents. We have been very happy with the program.
Between my two kiddos, we’ve been with the Montessori School of Agoura for 4 years, and I cannot say enough good things about it! Before starting here, we had toured several preschools from Burbank to Thousand Oaks, and it wasn’t until we toured MSofA that we really felt like we found a good one. I had never heard of the Montessori method of preschool learning before starting at the school, but wow we love it! Our kids have truly thrived academically, socially and independently. The teachers are engaging and attentive, and truly care about the kids and how they are learning and growing. And all of the teachers have been with the school for years, some decades. It’s like family here. One of the big draws to the school for us was also the outdoor play area. It’s expansive with room for the kids to exert their energy along with several different areas of interest appropriate for the littlest kids to the bigger kids like play structures, tricycle area, sandbox, building blocks, playhouses, etc. And another thing I love about the school is their environmentally friendly mindset with encouraging reusable lunch boxes/components, using cloth napkins for lunchtime and snacks, repurposing and reusing resources for writing work and crafting, composting, etc. It honestly is just a lovely environment and I love who my kids are becoming with help from their experience here.
We’ve had the best experience at Montessori School of Agoura! For both our girls it was like a second home! They enjoyed so much the atmosphere there and the carring teachers. They have the best memories! They bonded lasting friendships there with a large group of kids. They always remember Montessori as a wonderful time. We felt like the teachers were like our extended family. We loved Miss. Karen, the school director, for her academic skills, authority and her valuable parenting advice when we asked for one. It made our life easier, especially with the morning routine.😁
Our daughter had a great experience at this preschool for 2 years – as well as in their summer camp. The teachers are very calm and nurturing and our daughter emerged a socially mature and independent little girl thanks to their support and loving environment. I would, and do, recommend this school to anyone looking for a preschool based not only in academics, but the child’s social and emotional growth as well.
My son has been going to MoA for 2 years. The teachers are so wonderful and caring and the school is just darling with a huge outdoor play area complete with jungle gym, monkey bars, chicken coup, bike riding area and an area where they grow plants, like corn. My son is super energetic and MoA was just what he needed to learn to focus, increase responsibility (like cleaning up after activities) and be stimulated with creative activities. I highly recommend considering this school! Our time here has been such a joyful experience.
We are so happy we moved our son to this school. This is a TRUE Montessori program, with incredible teachers. We are so happy that they have such a small teacher/student ratio which was something that was seriously lacking at our previous Montessori. Privately owned, with a bit of a grounded, granola feel. They even have a few chickens running around, and a “baby dragon” (bearded dragon.)
My daughter has been here for 3 years and we are sad to leave. The environment has been so loving, supportive and flexible to our needs that at times, I felt a little too spoiled! Karen, the owner and all the teachers have become like a second family to us. I’ve recommended this school to many friends because of the nurturing environment that exists here.
Our child attended Montessori School of Agoura for 3 years and it was a fantastic experience for her and for us. She loved the teaching environment, learned terrific life skills at a young age and the experience was a great preparation for her entrance into first grade. Strongly recommend MSOA. Great school and great, caring people.
Our 4 children attended this school for 7 years (Pre-K through K). Early on my husband and I choose to send our kids to a Montessori school as we believed in the method, and this school checked all of those boxes for what we wanted for our children. Our children loved the school and the friends the met. Their teachers were super involved, kind, patient, caring, and completely dedicated that they give each child the tools and foundation to learn. Our kids were getting such a solid start that we choose to have them continue their education all the way kindergarten and transfer them to their elementary school in first grade. Now seeing my kids throughout their school education (currently 8th/7th/6th/4th grade) I know that my kids got a solid foundation and a great head start.
We switched our daughter from another preschool to Montessori of Agoura last year. I wish we would have made the change much earlier. I was so impressed and surprised how much my child learned and loved this school. The teachers are all very calming and loving. My daughter was happy and at the same time was learning so much each day. The classes are small which gave my daughter a great chance to explore all areas of learning. She is off to K and I can only thank this school for helping her be well prepared!
Prior to enrolling our son last Fall, we visited no less than five Montessori schools in the area. Within minutes of walking into this school, we knew this was the place for our son. The kids were engaged and focused on their projects, and at the same time eager to share what they were working on with each other. Most importantly, at least for my wife and I, everyone – teachers included – were happy to be there.
Over the past year our son has made incredible progress, both socially and intellectually. He has a bunch of new friends that he talks about regularly with a big smile on his face. And he “loves” his teachers – his words, not mine!
As an added bonus, my wife and I have met some interesting parents and made a few new friends. And I just like the vibe of this school. You’ll see when you go there and check it out yourself!
